I am in the middle of replacing a 10'*20' shed that had a planter built up against it And had rotten the wall. (shed is attached to a large garage). As I was demoing the shed I found that where the shed is attached to the garage it's rotten a bit of the garage corner beam. (can I jack up the corner and replace it?) My question is, the outside of the garage is stucco and I'm putting siding on my new shed. Can you transition from pre poured stucco wall to new vinyl siding? Or will I need to replace the stucco on the garage with vinyl? Cheers

Jacking up a stucco wall will require care so it's not danaged.
Does the shed butt up to the garage? Why can't you justhave the j channel sit flat on the side of the garage. Tar paper under the vinyl siding and seal the shed wall where it hits the garage.

We live on a hill, up high is the garage and down lower is the shed. The roofs are not the same height. But they are attached. Can you transition from stucco precast on the top to vinyl on the bottom? I've seen it done where the vinyl is on the top. I also need to figure out the transition on the vertical from stucco to vinyl. ????

How are your masonary skills? Any chance of building a block wall and just extending the stucco onto the block?
The wood framing is very close to the stucco edge. You slap some plywood on the framing and it looks like you'll be proud of the wall already.
What was the construction before the demo?

The shed was the same stucco but I'd like to change it to vinyl. Two problems I don't know how to deal with. First at the corner of the garage(upper part) there was a crack in the stucco and it's started to rot the corner post of the garage. ( the wall of the shed that is standing is concrete- lower part) it's only a small bit, hasn't fully rotted through, it's open walls in the inside of the garsge so I can verified that. I don't want to remove any more stucco on the garage. Can I fix the problem and the rotted area from the inside?
Second-how can I transition from the old stucco on the garage and new vinyl that I'll be putting on the shed??

The stucco is attached to the sheathing which in turn is attached to the framing. You can detach the sheathing from the framing with a sawzall. When you put in the new framing, use adhesive so it grabs onto the sheathing and use metal brackets to mechanically fasten the framing to the sheathing.
This is a compromise solution and should only be used is a small area like the corner.
As I said in the previous post, the framing is close to the plane of the stucco. Putting vinyl siding on the shed sheathing will make it project past the stucco. You could put a filler strip of a composite material, behind the siding, to fill in the space.
