Got a flat roof, has TPO membrane, and has a tiny puncture in it about 1/8". I do have some membrane patch material left from the installation. Will a hot hair dryer do to melt the patch on or not? What about fill hole with silicone/whatever, then place a 3" square over it with more silicone?

Thanks

Call a Commercial Roofer who is familiar with TPO membranes and Certified by the manufacturer of your specific roof system.

Be forewarned that most TPO systems are not very good. Many manufacturers have dropped the product in favor of PVC single ply membranes - which have their own issues. Fix what you have but realize its life expectancy may not be what you were promised.

Either have it properly welded or just glue it down with sealant, but don't trying anything other than a proper welder. There is a reason they are expensive.
Thanks, windows, but what sealant would adhere to tpo surface? PVC cement? Other?

right, tpo haS TO TREATED CAREFully.

How big is the hole? If its small, I would just caulk it and put a patch over it.

Silicone is probably the most compatible sealant that won't break down the membrane in that location.
I posted the size in post #1- about 1/8". Puny. Yea, I agree, fill it with silicone, and pop a small 2" square patch on top. Then just monitor it yearly, before the monsoon season, eh?
