I am experiencing a very strange issue my router.
From my PC I see the router and login to it. I can see and change all the settings. Yet I have no internet connection.
Here comes the strange part.
If I call my ISP they can see the router from their end.

So somewhere inside the router the input and the output are not connecting.
For now I plugged my ISP feed direct into my PC. Everything works fine except I do not have WIFI for my cameras.
I'm thinking I should just go and buy a new router.

It's a 2.4 GHz. No 5 GHz. It's pretty old. It may not offer updates.
5 GHz will give you access to newer bandwidth (less radio crowded). There are even newer bandwidths.

Direct wired to a modem or a router with ports plugged into a current generation modem is very fast. If fast wi-fi is important, upgrade. The modem and router work together. Upgrading both should be considered. Fast wi-fi is dependent on the pairing of these two and the speeds your IP provides.

The ISP hardware is an antenna on the roof. It apparently has a small router built in. that is why I am able to use the internet without the tp-link. I will check my local computer shop for a new unit soon.
