Hi, a friend just recently helped me install close to 1000 sq/ft of Pergo flooring in my kitchen/dining/living room area. The problem is that we did not leave enough of a gap around the edge of the floor in a few places, which has resulted in some buckling (rookie mistake).

Rather than remove, trim, and reinstal the entire floor, which I'm avoiding like the plague, is anyone aware of any tool that that I could get up against the wall close enough to trim out about 3/8" of material around the perimeter of the floor to increase the gap, just in the few places where it is too tight?

The only thing I could think of is a 5" saw blade on an arbor on a drill but it is pretty dangerous, clumsy at best... not a very effective tool.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

p.s. I keep seeing the Dremel multi-max online, and thinking that might do it. Does anyone know if that would work?

I have a regular rotary Dremel, but the larget cutting blade they make I think is 1.5 inches so I don't get the flush angle that I need to attack the perimeter of the floor...

Might need to buy some stock in that company...

Thanks again!

Cool, I ordered it. Seems like it will be a handy little tool, especially with a bathroom remodel coming up soon.

Probably have about 3 or 4 linear ft of cutting when it's all said and done, shouldn't be too bad, 1.5 inches at a time. Doesn't even have to be that straight since I haven't put down the base molding yet, so that should leave me some room for error.

Thanks for the feedback
