Exactly what the subject says...my toilet all of the sudden will not refill. I've know the flapper is seating correctly, I've been refilling the tank with tap water every time I need to flush. I need help asap. Thanks.

i would say it needs a new fill valve. the tall thing on the left side. it might just be clogged. how old is it? check the valve under the left side of the toilet if there is one and make sure its open all the way. counterclockwise is open. a picture of the inside of the tank would be helpful.

If it's a fluidmaster brand, it needs a new rubber seal in the fill valve. bout 2 bucks. after a while, the rubber hardens and it quits working.

Spend 9 bucks and get a new Fluidmaster 400A Ballcock (fill valve).

Tnx for all the advice. I took out the old ballcock unit and replaced it with the fluidmaster setup, that didn't fix it but it had to be changed eventually. Turns out the the braided hose from the shutoff valve to the tank was somehow clogged with something. I replaced it for about $7.
