Years ago, I woulda replaced my toilet myself. But after open heart surgery, my
sternum will not agree to the job of lifting.
My house is only 7 years old, and was built by a builder that didn't use top shelf
items. He installed a no name toilet that loves to stuff up. Plus I also found out half
the wax ring was in the drain instead of around it.
So I ordered a Kohler Santa Rosa that has high ratings, and one pc.
Delivered to my house total of $340.00 from Home Depot.
Called a local plumber to swap them out. He supplied was ring.
Hour & 1/2 , He charged $420.
Good price? Or was I taken advantage of?
The Kohler is King!!!!!! Happy Hiney !!!

Good price if he took the old toilet with him for proper disposal. A little high for a simple toilet swap, seeing it was only 7 years old and not having anything funky to deal with.

That's what usually happens when the contractor isn't allowed to do a 100+ % markup on the toilet .
