I am buying a toilet auger and trying to decide between two types. The two options for the boring gimlet head are regular or downhead. From what I can tell, the difference is that the downhead has a slight angle built into it while the regular head does not.

This picture gives a good idea of how they differ:

Which one should I get? How are the two functionally different?

Thanks!

The one I bought is a down head. helps to make the bend around some of the tight p-traps.

The bigger bonus, if you ask me is the telescoping handle. You get the General wire auger with the telescoping handle, you're actually sending that thing a few feet down into your drain, which never hurts.
