Typical 5x10 bathroom with tub / shower across one end, vanity and toilet along a long wall. Tiling walls around the tub / shower area (to the ceiling), and bottom 4' of the wall behind the vanity and toilet. 2'x4' horizontal window in the tub / shower area. Backer board and RedGard already accomplished. About about 100 sq ft of wall and 35 sq ft of floor. 12x12 and 6x6 tile on the floor in a alternating pattern. 6x6 tile on the walls.

Time estimate for this job for experienced tile setter?

Just setting tile, no grout, 2-4 days.

It took 8 full days to tile, plus another day to grout... But the guy did an excellent job.

So, what's the problem, the fact he's just slow?

Your happy with it right, that's all that matters, unless he charged you by the HR.
