We are remodelling the kitchen. Are down to bare brick on walls and am awaiting the electrician before we re-plaster.

Floor is concrete and we are about to ceramic tile it.

Question is can we tile floor first so that we aren't wasting time, and then plaster the walls once the electrics are in. None of the electrics are being done through the floor so no chance we would be having to take up flooring again.

And if we can do that what is the best way of doing it.

Many Thanks

tile floor

I would wait, as I've known electricians to not be careful about anything other than what they are working on. Covering the floor will help, but if a piece of equipment falls on a tile, will it break? Is it porcelain (more durable) or really ceramic?
