I am in the process of redoing my bathroom I want to clean the tile grout and seal it. Fortunately, the bathroom is small. The grout is white. I know that there are two kinds of grout and this is the softer kind without sand.

Clean the tile as best you can with vinegar or some other grout cleaner. Make sure any residue is washed off. Seal floor when it's dry. If you can't get the grout completely clean, consider scraping out the existing grout and re-grouting. I've had good luck cleaning with Mighty Indigo.

Why is it chipping? Grout does not just chip, the substrate must be moving.

Use a tool like this with the grout blade (not shown) if the joint is at least 1/8";
