Hi I am going to be putting KYB monomax shocks, front and rear, on my 99 Dodge dakota R/T next week. The Haynes book says I have to put threadlocker on front shock bolts. Torque is low at 19 and 20 lb feet. I purchased permatex 27100 high strength red thread locker. It says on package it is good for shocks. If I need to remove shocks in future, will this make removal difficult.? I know removing factory front shocks sometimes causes front shock bolts to break. Is this caused by threadlocker applied at factory? And yes I have breaker bars; I would use my 18" 3/8 drive harbor freight or a 15"(craftsman) 1/2 drive or 24" (gearwrench) 1/2 drive. Going from shortest to longest til bolts broke free. I will also use krol or Gibbs penetrating oil.
