I want to replace my current thermostat (RCS zwire) with a Honeywell wifi thermostat. The Honeywell requires a c wire. The RCS uses batteries and has a 24c wire. Can the 24c replace the regular c wire. I've seen where a G wire can also replace the C wire, but I have a gas furnace. Does that prevent using the G wire? I have included pics of how the current thermostat is wired and how the new one is to be wired. Please let me know if they are compatible. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
