and the screws on the cover all rusted, any suggestion for a easier solution?
where can get the sparks? do they exchangeable with other brand?

Maytag is part of Whirlpool, so you buy their brand.
repairclinic.com is a good place to buy them. They even have videos on how to install things they sell.
