Getting ready to do the plumbing for a new basement bathroom. The bathroom is across the hallway from the mechanical room where the supply lines will be tapped. The run will be approximately 22' to the first tee for the sink. I plan on tapping off the 3/4" supply cold into the water heater and the 3/4" hot from the water heater.

1. Should I run 3/4" all the way to the bathroom and the use a reducing tee for the sink with 1/2" the rest of the way or should I reduce to 1/2" after the tap and make most of the run with 1/2"?

2. Since the entire run will be just under 30', does it matter if I have "U" shaped detour? I will be making about 5 90 degree bends through the entire run already.
