Tankless Water Heater as a Booster for Tanked Hot Water

422 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Ghostmaker
Hi, First time user here ...

I have a bathroom far away from my ordinary hot water tank. Consequently, it takes a long time to get hot water to that bath.

I'm thinking of installing a small(ish) electric tankless water heater near that bath and running the "tanked" hot water into it so the tankless heater will quickly heat the cold water in the line and then kick off gradually as the "tanked" hot water slowly arrives.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance.

There are gadgets made for exactly that sort of thing! Ron
Put in a recirculating pump to move the water the distance. Pretty easy to install.
