I had read T Locks have been discontinued in many areas. It was mainly due to inability to repair them if they get damaged.

I know of high wind asphalt and metal roofing systems. I have never had any experience with them as I don't live in a high wind area. You may want to call a couple of contractors and ask them what they would install. You may even get an estimate which will probably tell you the quantity and materials...
