i have a gas fireplace that uses a switch and it clicks on. Was working fine last week, now the when i flick the switch, it doesn't turn on anymore. any suggestion would be great.

Bad switch, wire came out of the back of the switch, igniter went bad, loose wire on the igniter.

i check the wire, and the power and it looks good. have to try to purchase a new switch to make sure. any other suggestions?

I would recommend buying a cheap tester then you will know if you have over in and out of the switch and if you have any power at the igniter. If the answer to both of these is yes then probably the igniter is bad.

Do you have gas.?

yes, i check the gas and i do have gas
