This forum has been a wealth of information for me as I am planning the finishing of my basement. There are still a few questions that I have not been able to find answers. For the bathroom I will need an effluent pump. There is a utility room adjacent to planned bathroom where I plan to add this pump. Are there any rules or codes on distance that the pump has to be from an HVAC or breaker box? It would be ~ 4 feet away from the electrical box with the box being high on the wall so I do not think that would pose an issue. However it would be directly infront of the HVAC unit. How many feet would need to be in between these two? Also how close can this pump be to an exterior wall?

Sewer venting – The sump pump would require a dedicated one. Can I tie the bathroom sink, toilet, shower and wet bar sink into a single vent?

Codes vary on blocking electrical panels, generally about 3'. Clearance from a wall is usually not an issue. Clearance around appliances can be, depending on the appliance.
