Hello! I just installed a sump pump in my crawl space. I do not have an outlet in the crawl space. I do have this junction box that runs right beside the pump. Can I run a line off of this to an outlet for the pump?

You really should find out what is already on that circuit and what voltage it is. Some circuits cannot have other or additional loads on them.

Better gain an understanding of the circuit before tapping in. If that is old NMC, it can be #14 or #12 (15 amp or 20 amp). Once you know the circuit, I see no reason why you can't tie in there.
There are several reasons that circuit may not be able to be used. It depends on the load, what it serves and if it is grounded.

That looks like just one wire in, one wire out. If that's the case, the easiest thing to do is just replace the box cover with one that will hold an outlet, and either wire the circuit through it or pigtail. No need to run another box off of this one, assuming the cord will reach.

As Jim mentioned you need to find out what that circuit is providing power to before you consider using it for your sump pump. While it's possible that it can be used it's also quite possible it can't be used. That decision can't be made until you find out what other part of your home it provides power to.

Hey guys, I took and closer look at that wire and it looks like it runs from the garage and through the crawl space, it then runs along the ceiling in my laundry room and then out the wall to the AC. I assume I can't tap into then???
