Sump pump in crawl spae

650 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  plumberinlaw
I live in NC. I had trouble with moisture in crawl space, and have since installed a sump pump. The discharge is through the block wall at ground level. Since there is a swale between my neighbor's house and mine, the ground is very soggy. I would like to change the discharge so the water goes into the down pipe under the kitchen sink. A simple T joint and rerouting of pipes looks like the solution. Does this sound like a reasonable solution?

In our locale it has to be piped to a dry well, surface or to a storm drain. I can not be pumped into the sanitary sewer. You will need to check with your local authorities. If you are in a septic tank it's it a quick and sure fire way to destroy your septic system.
