We just purchased a new home and the sump pump check valve is making a horrible noise when it runs. The discharge is offset from the pump and there is a vent of sorts that runs to the floor drain. I have never seen this setup before. We are in Dupage county Illinois, but I don't believe this is a code issue. Any suggestions on the install or recommendations on the check valve would be appreciated. Thank you!

Sump pump check valves only cost a few dollars. Get a new one.
