I have this yucky cabinet in one of my bathrooms. I don't think it can be removed. My well pump is underneath on the side with no doors. I've already redone the countertop and that came out ok, but now I have to find something to do with this plywood cabinet and then ceramic tile on the floors and paint.

Can I buy new cabinet doors that look decent to fit? What can I do to change the plywood? Veneer? Laminate? It has to be able to come off in case I need to get to my well pump and tank.

I would love some suggestions because I don't have a clue.

I know it's gross.

I would put some trim on the doors and then paint and glaze them. Kind of like the rustoleum cabinet transformation paint. Adding new hardware on the doors will also help it look better.
I'm sure someone on here can help you out with where you can go to order doors if you would rather go that way.

Yep, some trim molding will make it look like a different cabinet. You are only limited by imagination.

I don't know your ability in wood working but if it were mine and I wanted to change the looks I would take the face of the cabinet off and replace with a new face with new doors including doors for the pump side.

I don't think I have the ability to take the face off. I'd love to, but I don't think I can tackle that myself. I was wondering if there were such a thing as a fake facing that I could put on top of the wood and then just replace the doors. Maybe something 1/2 wide or so? A wood fake facing?

I did look at the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation and that is an option I'm going to look into.

I've got a whole other problem right now that I have to take care of before I start the cabinet. I did redo the countertop. I'm not in thrilled with it, but it was not the product, it was my fault. I think it is an improvement from before, and I think with every job I do, I learn more.

Here is the counter top that I just redid. From crappy stained white to this. I know some of you who are good at this kind of stuff will think it's bad, but all I can do is the best I can do and learn from my mistakes. :thumbsup:

ps. I don't know why the walls have those whitish streaks on them. Must be from the sun or light hitting it. I will paint when I get the walls ready. Oh, and I have to clean off the sink where I dripped paint.
