I'm in the process of building a wood working shop and would like to put spare conduits in the floor in case I want to move a table saw here or a planer there. I was counting on placing a 3/4" pvc conduit under grade and run a sweep up to floor level with a female adapter and a flush pipe plug at finished concrete grade.

This would give me access at a future date and not be a trip hazard if not in use. Are there any code considerations for this? Should I use a PVC sweep or a rigid sweep?

Use the same pipe type throughout. And stub it up at least 6" or more so you have something to work with. And seal the pipe, cap it if PVC to keep construction debris out of it. Duct tape works well.

This won't work as it could be a trip hazard. I want the stubs at finished grade and if I decide to use one at a later date I can screw on a piece of conduit, mount a box and pull a circuit through the pipe and make an above ground termination in close proximity of the stationary tool.

I'm sorry. I read you post and thought you were going to stub up at the walls. Can you just install floor boxes at these locations? You can blank them until you are ready to use them.

Give yourself a little extra room and use 1" pipe in case you need multiple circuits in the future.

Since the AHJ classifies my project as a garage won't I run into the "wet location" status and all that encumbers about boxes buried in the floor?

All my 120v plugs must be GFCI in this application. Seems I remember reading some code requirements for boxes in concrete requirements in a garage/shop setting, but I can't remember what is is.
