A relative is remodeling. On instruction from the recommended structural engineer, he is stalled trying to hire someone to draw the existing setup so a structural engineer can do a design from it.
He's having trouble in not getting a response from people recommended to sketch existing setup.
How would you proceed?
The wall is open, all he wants to do (at this step) is take most of it out and frame around it.
He is taking out a five foot doorway, opening it up to ten feet or so. 1930s house, IIRC. This is under the end of the roof of a main part of the house.
