I had a bathroom floor repaired and tiled . When cutting out the old sub floor the wire to the stove was cut into . I found that the builder stapled the wire onto the sub floor instead of on a joist center . My house has two floors so at the moment there is a big open spot down stairs in the ceiling . What is the best way to fix this wire? I have read i can not install a junction box unless it is able to be opened aka showing on the ceiling . The wire is long as all hell and in a bad spot to try and replace. What are my options for fixing this ? The wire reads xhhw-2 600 volts . The stove is a 3 prong plug .
