so the dayton heater #2yu68 can be wired at 240v with a 60 amp breaker?also there is a terminal in the heater that says attach thremostat wires here so do i need a transformer or anything or do i just attach the wires to the terminals and thats it?what size wire should i use for the power?:confused1:

Nope. That heater can NOT be wired for 240 Volt operation. It is rated for 208 Volts only. Dayton makes other units rated for dual voltage operation, such as their model 2yu69

Installing it with a 240 volt supply will probably result in the elements burning out due to excessive voltage. :furious:
