Replacing tile with laminate, when pulling up old tile the linoleum under tile has so much glue on it. What id like to know is can I lay 1/4 inch plywood over it ?or is it possible to use a foam underlayment? Not sure if there is something to use to get glue off, but the glue does not come up easy. The new floor does have an attached pad. Any help?

Don't try to remove the glue.
Just level the floor, in needed, so your laminate will sit flat and the board will be easy to snap together.

What's under the linoleum? It may have its own 1/4" underlay which can be removed along with the linoleum.
