Just called my friendly plumber to put 2 new faucets in. Garage & kitchen because he was going to come anyway and put a water filter in my kitchen sink and put a separate faucet for the water filter.

there’s a hole in my sink for a soap dispenser, which I plugged up so when he put the separate faucet there for drinking water, I hope it all fits together. Now I just have to think of a sandwich or a snack to have for him because an older native Floridian lady who gave me his name, many years ago, said she always gives him a glass of wine and a sandwich.

do any professional plumbers here get a snack after completing a job?
I would except snacks from the lonely people. Sometimes a pizza would arrive around lunchtime on outside sewer jobs. The well to do folks would gave cash... :) But most of the time, no
On one call I assembled a barbeque for a guy

My new house came with a motion activated black faucet that has wifi. Yep, I can turn it on/off with my phone (I never do though). I call it Darth Vader since you can wave and use the force to turn it on/off :) It came with a D-Cell battery pack, but when I saw how fast it ate batteries, I bought the plug-in adapter from Amazon. It's less then $500 at Build. for the spotless matte black one. Moen 7864EWBL Sleek 1.5 GPM Single Hole Pull Down Kitchen | Build.com

Neat! I like things that are out of the ordinary. Curious when you’d turn it on unless you were standing in front of it.

Haha that's easy! I only use the phone app when I'm showing off to some relative visiting for the first time ;) I say, watch this, my house is so smart. I can run the sink from over here on the couch! Yep, it's a very useless feature for most any other time besides showing off. The app has features like usage, and some other stats about the faucet.

The plumber is coming Friday to install the water filter and separate faucet on the sink for filtered water. I didn’t ask if he’s bringing a faucet but I just bought a new gooseneck brushed something faucet and want them to match. Not finding many photos online of sinks with 2 faucets. Photos I found the second faucet matched only thinner and shorter.

Crud. Just got a call that the office was exposed to Covid yesterday. The person that tested positive today was exposed Saturday, three days earlier.

I’m anxious to get the faucet project done, but I’m going to reschedule Fridays appointment..

the APP is handy to someone with O C D and wants to be sure that they did not leave the water running.

Seriously, you never had a GF with the stuff, and get woken up to go check the water.

My Garage doors are set up to warn me if they have been open for more than an hour (I can choose the time setting interval) and are scheduled to close themselves by 10pm each night. I have driven off and left one open. So I used the app and closed it from many miles away. It's a cool feature. I can enable/disable a lot of stuff from my phone. Front door lock is a 10 minute auto-lock with an app, AC/Heat can also be controlled from the phone. I WFH, and still adjust the temp using the app even though my office is only about 40 steps away from the t-stat 🤣

I need something to tell me if my house doors are locked. I either forget to lock them all or if I come in the front door I lock it, but I leave my keys dangling in the lock all night.

Kraus which I’ve never heard of before seem to be only ones that sell faucet sets- the regular sink faucet plus water filter faucet. But it’s not what I’m looking for. I didn’t know it would be such a pain to find a water filter faucet! I’d like them to match in style but not size. Water filter faucets are more slender. I found some shorter gooseneck faucets called ‘bar faucets.’

If you want sticker shock start shopping around for toilets. I just set this Toto Nexus Washlet+ in a bath remodel last week. Just over $3K, and probably smarter than the guy installing it (and definitely better looking :ROFLMAO: )

Now you have to tell us what’s different or special about it. Looks like a combination bidet? Heated seat maybe? Not sure what those other diagrams on the remote are?
