Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum, please bare with me.

I needed some advice in terms of a pathway project I'm planning. So, currently there are besser blocks placed parallel to my driveway that need replacing. One idea I had in mind was to replace the blocks, lay down a base and place round 12" stones, with mulch/ dark rock around the stones. I'm just wondering if something along the lines of that would be a bad idea in a place that tends to snow quite a bit. Another thing I was concerned about was the driveway being directly beside it and people driving over it- mostly my girlfriend :p.

The size of the path is approx. L 36'xW 3'.

Let me know if I'm missing any information.

e you wanting to use flag stone, or 12 " roundish stones?

The best way to prepare for the drive-overs, is to install a solid gravel base first, then a sand layer, then the flagging.

If the existing blocks are breaking, their base was not adequate for the load on them.
