Is there a preferred side to hang the hinge side? It's a 4ft wide x 63" tall, self closing due to pool. One side of the gate has 1 16"x 8" sump block with rebar and all cells are filled. It butts up against another wall running perpidicular to it.
The other side of the opening has 3x 16"x 8" blocks and butts against the house.

Would prefer the hinge on the right 1 block. Does it matter? Is one side going to be stronger

ask the customer what side they want it to swing on and then hang it accordingly..
