If you remove three more it would look more open and better

I thought about it! With my 1-1/2 year old and another on the way I’m hesitant to open it too much in fear they will fall. (Maybe I’m thinking too short term! ) lol

You can always block rails temporarily while kids are small with plywood or even something like a grate.
