I am getting ready to sell a house.
It has approx 1000 sq ft of wood floor.
It appears to be a conifer species, refinished once with fairly major sanding, as evident near the irregular rock fireplace which shows thicker and darker.

Its in pretty good shape, but is dull in traffic areas.

What are the best options for a quick/cheap refinished look?
I imagine the poly won't stick if I just put a coat on as-is. Should I buff, clean, chemical de-gloss?
I really don't want to sand.
Planning on doing a couple test sections tomorrow, then applying whatever worked best all over.
