The other Day, I noticed that one of my Sprinklers aren't pointing where it is supposed to water, it must have turned somehow and now got my Car wet parked in the Driveway.

Time for adjustment, I thought and turned them all on to see if any other Sprinklers have moved.

And yes, 40% of my Sprinklers were misaligned, watering Driveways or walk ways.
So I moved them back into place, which was somewhat hard to do, while they were watering. But I managed to turn them all back in Order.
They were hard to twist with my Hands.

A couple of days later, I found to my surprise that most of them turned back towards the Driveway again?

I did install them back in 1993, all made by Toro, they are a bit lower than the Grass, and have worked very well the last 27 years.
Can they be worn out somehow?
I do occasionally maintain them, clean out filters, replace nozzles, etc.
But this turning business has me puzzled.
Any Experts out there who could tell me what to do?
I'm actually are getting ready to replace them all if the problem doesn't stop.

27 years is a long time for sprinkler heads to last. I think I'd just replace them, newer ones are even more efficient and not very expensive. But I am curious if anyone has an idea why several of them would behave like yours, especially all at the same time and repeatedly...

Thank you for your Input, I guess I'll start replacing some of them.
My Neighbors Sprinklers are even older, 32 years I think and they don't move at all.
I'll change a few of them for now and post my results.
Thanks again!
