I have a quick question regarding adjusting the output of material. I am using a Graco 490 with a 211 tip spraying General Paints Hi Performance 2000 waterborne. I am spraying trim and doors.

The pressure is set just below half and I am experiencing splatters and too much paint being applied. When I lower the pressure it no longers has a smooth fan. Is there a way to reduce the amount of material being applied?

THANKS

I have been spraying for 15 years and spray everything at the highest pressure when using electric pumps. just move quicker and watch your overlaps.

if you like the 1/2 pressure - start with your gun facing away from the area you are spraying (like at the floor) and end with it facing away from the area you are spraying (like at the floor). I know it sucks but it will eliminate your splatter marks.

or you can always just not let go of the trigger. just keep moving - your production will increase significantly. Your quality....not so much.
