I am Wondering what is better your spray or dry weed killer? I have only used the spray which attaches to the garden hose. This question goes for fertilizer also which is better to use Spray or Dry.

Hmm!

Welcome!

Where are you? What kind of weeds are you trying to kill, and if in your lawn, what kind of grass?

As DD said it would be nice to know you location, type of grass etc. However generally I prefer liquid weedkiller and granular fertilizer. I feel a liquid weedkiller does a better job of getting where it belongs in the granular fertilizer works slowly instead of being a rapid influx of fertilizer.

Howdy [former] neighbor! Where in Ohio? I'm originally from Cleveland, moved to California 35 years ago last month.

I concur with @Msradell.

I have always shied away from "weed and feed" and things like that, which are usually solid. Liquid weed killer is so much better, because it's a lot less fussy about conditions, and a lot easier to apply.

Fertilizer, on the other hand, is a lot more of a toss-up, particularly if you're trying for that manicured uniform look. Use a spreader and it's a lot easier to get the fert down nice and uniform; liquids tend to spray all over.

Also what kind of weeds? Broad leaved weeds, like plantains, dandelions, etc., are killed by 2-4-D, which won't kill the grass (unless it's newly seeded). Crabgrass (actual crabgrass) will croak from special crabgrass killer. Nutgrass is a screaming expletive of a [bad person] to get rid of.

Maybe take a picture of the weeds you're worried about?

We can help.

Hope you and your family are well and safe.
