Hi Guys,

I have just pressed the button on a new Earlex 5000.

I have an internal job of painting a fiddly brick wall, and have decided with a brush it would be a nightmare. Saw a link for a spray gun, and quite fancied it.

What is confusing me is the paint I need to use and for what job. Does anyone know of a simple site that outlines what I need?

After the wall job, I want to tackle painting my kitchen cabinets, which have a kind of plasticy cover to them. I have read some experienced chaps talking about Latex paint. I'm sure if I can get the basic right, I'll be a manic with a spray gun, I just want to try and understand the basic from the start.

Any help, however general, will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Charlie.

Thanks Mike.

I did do a lot of research online, to give me a good understanding of what I was buying.

I suppose there is a bitof trial and error. I'll start on the brick wall to get my eye in, and then proceed to kitchen cabinets when I have a better understanding of what the Earlex 5000 can do.

I'll keep the thread posted on my disasters!

It's all about the needles. There are several needles for the Earlex models. You need the right size needle for the type of paint you are using. You can always call the company and see what they recommend.
