I have a unfinished basement , i am going to frame the walls (2x4) and i,m wieghing my options for insulating i know about the rigid foam and batt insulation method - i want some input on the enviro spray foam method -seems like it would be the easiest but most costly(we,ll say money is no object- especially when you got none):laughing: - was wondering anyones expirence doing this and the cost is I live in nova scotia

spray foam is better in every way for basements. Closed-cell has twice the R-Value as Open-Cell. But Open cell will allow the walls to still transfer moisture without trapping it in the wall.
