Spilled pvc primer, how to clean up

is this the purple stuff you are talking about?

The primer has acetone in it. Unfortunately using more acetone is going to start taking the paint off of the appliance. When i worked at a rent to own store, that's how the manager used to fix scratches. Rub some paint off with acetone and spread it into the scratches. LOL.
Anyway : If it were me, I'd almost say that the clear primer might be your best bet. It might pull the purple out. Again, you still run the risk of taking most of the paint off.
My last word of advice. Never put a can of primer anywhere that you're afraid to turn purple. Just looking at the can sideways will make it leak.
When I first started apprenticing I was told to use primer on our CPVC T&P lines because it was the right way to do them. I had the primer inside of a cardboard box, lo and behold the damn dauber ran down my hand and dripped off of my wrist. A tiny drip on the linoleum in the mechanical room of a big project. It was a small room, and nobody cared, but we tried like hell to get it up and it was there forever. Probably still is.

Find a new wife. Depending on how old the stove is, you can take it to a auto-body shop and they can repaint the whole stove and make it look like new.
You will never get the primer off, especially if it is Purple primer, due to it stains the paint, and etches it.
