Does there exist a old-work backbox with enough space for 2 sheets of drywall? More info: I'm trying to add a single gang receptacle in my garage ceiling which has 2 sheets of drywall. The only cut-in (old work) boxes I've seen will allow for only 1 sheet between box frame and tab. I thought to use longer screws but the tab would not lock against edge of box properly. Thanks for input!
