horrible noise on wash spin cycle. Just started. Sounds like large rocks in there. Stacked units are 19 yrs old. Suppose I should be happy they lasted this long.

Ball bearings?

Probably need to just replace at this age.

Wet clothes came out normal. Ran another load an no noise.

What is balancer? Could it have been that? That noisey load was probably overloaded.

I’ll keep using it long as I can. Darn. I have Birthday money from one of my kids and was going to spend it today but guess I better save it.

Senior, when I was collecting antiques I had a washboard!

Oso, my daughter used your link hint and ran vinegar thru her front loader which occasionally gets musty smelling.

I decided, if needed, I’ll keep my stackable unit for the dryer and only buy a new washer and set beside it. Daughter thinks that would look bad but what do I care? No one sees my laundry room.
