Wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions with respect to providing a layer of soundproofing within a deck? I'm curious as to any materials which could be hung against the pickets perhaps that would help reflect sound inwards?

We have neighbors relatively close, next to us, and we're considering putting small outdoor speakers for ambient music while we sit outside. Wondering if there may be a way to prevent some of that sound from traveling too far into their yard.

Appreciate any ideas

You could plant some evergreens to muffle the sound or climbing vines. Hard to stop sound from carrying if the neighbors are 20 ft away.

Easiest way is to pint the speakers torwards you from the neighbors side of the deck
