I am in the process of buying a home with a 203k loan. Seeing the estimate of the general contractor has caused me some ire, including such gems as the installation of smoke detectors costing $50 each. Whatever the minimum that needs doing is done in order to get the house, we'll do that. Beyond that though, I'm fine with doing the work myself.
So, a bit more stressed, poor, and frustrated, I am here to learn.:thumbsup:
