Hello

I have a manual flushometer toilet that is leaking from the top of the vacuum breaker. I replaced just the rubber vacuum breaker kit for 3$ and it is still leaking with each flush. it is still using the original tube as you can see in the photo, what am i doing wrong what needs to be replaced? Here is a photo of the toilet with the valve assembly removed so you can see the original tube.

no water should be coming out of those anti siphon vent holes if everything is installed correctly.

If you have installed everything correctly and those repair kits don't fix the problem, you may need a new flushometer.

there is a rubber vacuum breaker device that goes inside the top of the tube I replace that portion but that’s the only part I replaced and it still leaks when I tighten The nut. Now at the top of the tube where those van holes are there are lots of calcium deposits as you can see in the photo. Could that be the reason why it is leaking? Could all that buildup be causing my problem?

Do you have the plastic piece inside the rubber VB and the fiber gasket on top the rubber VB?

I have not seen that problem before. They usually leak at the seals and threads. Water discharges down through the VB. Seems highly unlikely to leak out the slots.
Have you tried turning down the flush volume? That's my only suggestion..
