So got quote on about 10 windows for both these brands. Actually came in just about the same price. Anyone have experience with either of these? Need to make decisions. Guess I'll drill down into the specs of each.

Meh. Wouldn't run the 400 if it were me. The price delta on the 400 vs. the 500 is nominal. I would go with the 500.

The Barrington is weird looking on the exterior with that weird cap to it.
Yes was just told the 500 is not much of an increase at all. Maybe $10 per window. How could it be that much better than 400 for so little increase? Thank you.

Cost to manufacture is basically the same. Bit more vinyl in the 500 and more weatherstripping. The glass is the same.

Okna has a U-Factor of 0.25 in the Deluxe.

Barrington is going to be 0.28 last I checked.

You posted 7 different U-values for the Okna windows. Which one is quoted? Get the number from the quote, not the web site. And make sure they are both quoting whole window U-value, not center of glass U-value.

All those U-Factors are total unit. Just different glass packages (i.e. triple pane, double pane, double pane deluxe, etc.).
