Just noticed that the soffit in the rear of my house is sagging on one end. From what I gather warped plywood is one of the possible causes. I see some nails protruding in one part of the sagging area, which I believe are from the gutter, and a screw further down (blue circle), which I think is from the soffit itself. Thoughts, including any suggestions on how to approach a repair?

Your soffit doesn't appear to be sagging. The gutter is slanted, as it should be, causing the illusion of out of alignment. The screw appears to be in the fascia, and could have been there to hang Christmas lights or something like that. The trash behind the gutter looks to be just that, overflow trash.

Thanks. I just looked again, and of course you're right about it being an illusion. Threw me.

Those are three nails protruding on the right. The head ends are loose inside when I wiggle them, so I have no idea what the deal is there.
