soffit lighting

can anyone recommend a lighting type and wattage for soffit lights. The exterior of the house is ceder siding and sand stone.

If they are there just to show off the pretty house rather than illuminate sidewalks for people, low wattage LED. No need to be wasting electricity just for looks.

65 watts of LED? That would be a retina-burner.

1 to 3W of LED should be plenty for accent lighting. No need for a dimmer, in fact some LEDs aren't dimmable.
