In a nutshell --yes, sealing it will make your back splash easier to keep clean.

Jaz will offer the best advice on brands---I use Aqua Mix products---many modern grouts do not require sealing, thanks to the latex powder in the mix---

We use epoxy grouts on almost all of our installs--so sealing is not something I commonly deal with.

I looked though Lowes and they have 511 spray on sealer; you spray it on and wipe it off the tiles. Would that be a reasonable choice?
Not cheap, but the liquids are all in large bottles and I don't expect to ever do it again.

Let's see if JAZ looks in---some sealers make a mess of the tile glaze---and is difficult to remove.
