I have a snoway snow plow that doesn't hold pressure very well anymore in the up position, raise it up and hear it tick tick tick as it slowly sinks back down to the ground, i assumed the lift cylinder was leaking but the plow shop says half the time its not the cylinder. wish there was a way to troubleshoot all the possible causes. Any ideas or troubleshooting manuals someone knows about ? Thanks.

What did they say it was the other half of the time?

My first inkling would be the cylinder. I think that's about the only thing that hasn't been replaced on my plow.

Where are ya hearin' the clickin' sound comin' from,...??

Could be a solenoid clicking. Check the ground wire to the lower solenoid. Make sure the insulation is not rubbed through, making a ground and opening the solenoid.
