I recently installed an abs p-trap for my shower drain and made a small gouge on the inside of the p-trap with the pry bar I was using to keep it propped up while attaching the lower drain flange. I can provide a picture, but the gouge is about 1/8" long and 1/16" deep. It lies in the zone where water will sit in the p-trap. It does not appear as though water is leaking as I have filled the drain multiple times and the water level in the p-trap does not change over time. Is there reason for concern? Does the inner core of abs pipe breakdown over time in response to shampoos and soap and thereby a leak developing in the future? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!!
