All, I am installing peninsula cabinets. The problem is the 1 1/2 inch slope in 111" span. If I float it I will have to taper back to meet the rest of the house and two of the angles would be extreme. I was going to do a small raised pour to bring the new cabinets to level but not to sure how it would look. Also thought about ripping 4x4 down to avoid having to use 1 1/2 inches worth of shims... Any suggestions?

Thanks,

wow that is a pretty un-level floor you got there! I would rip down two 2X4's that are 111 inches from 0 to 1 1/2" and make a frame with cross pieces every couple feet. I wouldn't use shims on cabinets to raise 1 1/2". When you go to cut the shims, trust me they would never stay in. They do make toe kick for the bottom that is wider than average to cover the gap.
